Taybooto 1
One black flush slab and one stainless pull inside a wall of glass — the Taybooto 1 is the pivot door reduced to its essentials.
Taybooto 1 is the single-panel Taybooto: a completely flush slab with no grooves, shown here in a matte black finish with a full-height stainless bar pull. Against a two-story glass wall, marble stairs and pale stone, the black door is the anchor of the whole composition — the one element that is solid, dark and simple.
The black finish is applied over solid mahogany, which keeps the door stable in coastal heat and humidity and lets it be refinished in a natural stain later if the house changes character. A matching black cylinder sits above the pull.
Built on pivot hardware, the Taybooto 1 can be made up to 144″ tall and 81″ wide under Florida Product Approval FL28370, hurricane-rated with two 5-point lock sets. It is the base design for every other Taybooto: grooves, inlays, glass and panels are all added to this slab. The slab is built 3″ thick in solid mahogany.
