Full-height panels of horizontal mahogany slats that pivot open — the Kumamoto is a courtyard screen and gate in one, Japanese in spirit.
The Kumamoto is a set of tall slatted panels — horizontal mahogany slats on a frame — that pivot on floor and head hardware to open a courtyard or garden entry. Closed, they read as a continuous slat wall; open, they become a sequence of screens. Photographed installed on a terrace with hedges behind.
Built in solid mahogany to custom sizes; slat spacing and panel count to the client’s drawing. Slatted panels are not part of the impact-rated assemblies.
